Disposable Insufflation (Veress Type) Needles are used to establish pneumoperitoneum prior to abdominal surgery. Retractable safety, spring loaded tip protector. It retracts as the needle is pushed through the abdominal tissue and automatically advances forward once the peritoneum is penetrated.
