ALLEVYN Gentle Border dressings are indicated for use on:

1. Wound management on shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute exudative wounds, full and partial thickness wounds including:

• Pressure ulcers
• Leg ulcers
• Diabetic Foot Ulcers
• Surgical wounds
• First and second degree burns
• Donor sites
• Skin tears
• Fungating ulcers

2. Pressure ulcer prevention on intact skin, including pressure ulcers caused by medical devices, as part of a pressure ulcer prevention protocol

Precaution: Care should be taken when using the dressing under medical devices near the nose and mouth, where moisture can build up and affect adherence, leading to dressing movement.

Advanced Foam Wound Dressings
Indicated for the management of exuding, granulating wounds on the sacrum by secondary intent. Prepare and clean the skin surrounding the wound by removing excess moisture. Start to remove the protector material and anchor the adhesive side of the dressing to the skin. When positioning the dressing, place the narrow end of the dressing a minimum of ¾\\" above the anal sphincter, then remove any remaining protector material and smooth the dressing over the sacrum. The dressing should not be used with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressings.
